As we enter Tier 4 for the foreseeable future as stated by the Scottish government. I will be staying open and still facilitating CBT sessions face to face.
There is still the opportunity if you prefer to have sessions via the platform zoom online.
I currently have availability for new clients.
To keep you all safe and healthy as I return to counselling sessions face to face. The following protocols have been put into place:
Hand washing will be advised upon arrival.
Hand sanitiser is available in reception and in the therapy room.
I will wear a mask if you wish me too.
In between sessions all hard surfaces will be wiped with disinfectant wipes.
Hand sanitiser will be available at all times.
Seating within the room is set at the government guidelines of 2m apart.
Staggered sessions will be put into place so there is little or no gatherings in the corridors.
Face coverings are to be worn until you enter the therapy room, toilets and corridors by both you the client and my self.

WHAT IS CBT THERAPY?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy. It looks to help you manage problems by enabling you to recognise how your thoughts can affect your feelings and behaviours. CBT combines a cognitive approach (examining your thoughts) with a behavioural approach(the things you do). It aims to break overwhelming problems down into smaller parts, making them easier to manage.
During sessions I will work with you to help you focus on the "here and now". This will help you to recognise how past events may have shaped your thinking and behaviours, teaching you how to not only adapt your thoughts, but manage them long after therapy has finished

I acknowledge that the first step of coming to therapy is not always easy. So if you feel it would be of benefit to yourself I hold a free 20 minute phone call to yourself. This allows you to begin to feel comfortable with the process of sessions and whether CBT is the appropriate therapy for you.
Thereafter, sessions last for 50 minutes and are £50
The number of sessions are collaboratively agreed in the first session and reviewed at regular intervals.
I also offer Skype/Zoom sessions at a reduced rate of £40 for a 50 minute session. Ideal for people who are at work or unable to travel.
Payments can be by cash, or by card payment paid within session. Or by a BACS transfer before your next session.
